"I write interracial/multicultural characters who are not only dealing with the main plots, romance, and conflict, but there’s always a subplot dealing with a real-life issue such as animal cruelty, human rights issues, and racism.
The subplots don’t slap readers in the face and snap them away from their escape, but I like to think they shed light on issues that might not have been considered in the same way before."
